October, November and December Calendars

Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Time!

I love this time of year.
The leaves begin to change color, it is cooler outside, making soups,
layering on sweaters and curling up in front of a fire!

Trick-or-treaters, Roasting Turkey and decorating Christmas Trees!

For all of these things that we celebrate during this time
I thought let's get a little traditional for the calendars.

Pumpkins, Turkeys and Trees!

The ribbon trim on each calendar represents the month.

Happy Pumpkin saying Boo!

Gold and Reds are in the ribbon color.

Ho Ho Ho!
Santa will be placing presents under the tree very soon!

Back to the Blog!

May I just share with you how much I missed Blogging!
Quite surprising to say.

Some people write in journals...
I prefer to blog!

In February I shared with you about our Dream Home!
Which is such a joy to be building!

One of the important rooms in our home is where I will color.

Originally I wanted a Craft Coloring Barn.
Then I thought about it for awhile...
and decided on a Potting Shed.
(More about the Potting Shed in the future).

Now, I am sharing my future Craft Coloring Loft!

My new neighbor Debbie shared with me how beautiful sunrises are.
So... I got my coffee and my favorite Rose chair and drove to our new home.
Sat at my window in my new Craft Coloring Loft!
One word....beautiful!

Now, the CCL!

The Craft Coloring Loft is 13 X 21 feet!

One place to color!
With all my craft tools and supplies in one room!

One of the benefits of building... lighting!
8 can lights - all will have natural light bulbs
for those grey days in Oregon!

Choose not put up a wall at the end of the staircase.
It gives the room a open feeling.
Tomorrow I choose the stair railing.

Next, insulation and walls!

April, May and June Calendars

What fun and excitement my husband Ed and I are
having selecting everything down to each cabinet knob
for our "dream" home we are building!

However I find myself thinking, planning and updating every decision.
It can get a bit overwhelming!

Simply... I needed to create and craft!

My favorite On-Line Card Classes were presenting a one week class - perfect!
Using Patterned Paper is one of my favorite ways for inspiration and color palates.

Which was my focus on this blog in April and May 2012!

I thought what fun it would be to create the
Monthly Calendars using Patterned Papers.

Sunny Days from Prima Marketing was my selection.
Very pretty colors - shades of pink, green, turquoise and orange!

Having all of my Patterned Papers packed in storage - bonus shopping!
I took a break and went to the CKC Scrapbook Convention.
Great convention for selecting patterned papers for card crafters!

April is Rosanna's favorite!

Tip: Take the time and really look at the patterns on the paper.
I cut 3 different "borders" for May.

Enamel Dots - love this embellishment!

Have fun when selecting and crafting with Patterned Papers!

Color of the Year - Emerald

Green is one of my personal favorite colors!
Color of trees, leaves, grass, flowers - nature.
Color of lettuce, broccoli, green beans and asparagus.
And of course Christmas Green!

Pantone the color experts!

Table setting from Tencha's Tea Party!
Love the Art Deco Teapot!
Emerald in the floral bouquet and the glassware!

Spring Fashion Color Palate for 2013 from Pantone!

For all the papercrafters and floral designers that
create and craft early  - Fall Fashion Color Palate from Pantone!

The colors for 2013 are beautiful!

Are you seeing the colors in retail stores and on-line?
Start watching - it is very interesting how the colors are used!

Be Happy!

I had the privilege of being a guest at a very special tea.
For Tencha who celebrated her 90th Birthday!
Yes, 90 years of life!

Her secret to long life - three things we can all do!

Banner that Lori and I crafted for the Tea!
Tencha shares with everyone that she meets Be Happy!

Ladies at the tea!
Guys before heading to a brew pub!
Tencha shares with everyone that she meets Be Positive!
Which you can not be when you are with Tencha!

Judy and her Aunt Tencha
Tencha shares with everyone that she meets Be Faithful!

Judy was one of the ladies that spoke about what Tencha represents to them.
Nobody could of said it better.

She sees God everywhere. For most of us, seeing God
in “Big Things” of life is easy.
The challenge is (and rewarding us daily) is seeing God
in everyday mundane activities, “Small Stuff”.
Aunt Tencha has a HUGE God Consciousness in each of her days.
Where she is, so is HE.

I thought about a possible “Small Stuff” list for her:
*greets the morning, thanking God
*displays what she believes by how she behaves
*goes through her day looking for opportunities too good to miss
*she’s teachable
*she keeps a sharpened, keen wit AND a discriminating tongue
*she refuses to be lazy
*she radiates her mantra – “I am so Happy!”

Be Happy! Be Positive! Be Faithful!

Dream!
